自2016年3月起，部分雅思考生可以通過紙筆模式或機(jī)考模式參加用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試（IELTS for UKVI）。用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試學(xué)術(shù)類機(jī)考將率先應(yīng)用于英國和中國（包括香港行政區(qū)）的部分考點，并于2016至2023年在其他國家及地區(qū)陸續(xù)推行。

        首場位于中國大陸地區(qū)的機(jī)考將于2016年3月31日在雅思北京機(jī)考中心舉行，隨后考生僅可在全年特定的日期選擇該服務(wù)。其他城市如重慶、上海和廣州預(yù)計將在今年十月提供雅思機(jī)考服務(wù)。

        新增的用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試學(xué)術(shù)類機(jī)考服務(wù)不會影響現(xiàn)有的雅思考試紙筆模式的考試日期及考位容量。

        選擇用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試學(xué)術(shù)類機(jī)考的考生將通過機(jī)考模式參加聽力、閱讀及寫作三個部分的考試。雅思特有的“人人對話”口語考試模式仍將保留，因為人人對話的口語考試模式是最有效的檢測考生英語口語能力的測評方式，以保證考生在最真實自然的交流狀態(tài)下發(fā)揮最佳水平。

        用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試學(xué)術(shù)類機(jī)考在考試內(nèi)容、評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)、難度等級、考試安全設(shè)置等方面均與現(xiàn)行的紙筆模式相同，考生也將收到同樣的成績單。

        雅思機(jī)考模式目前僅限用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試學(xué)術(shù)類，對用于英國簽證及移民的雅思考試培訓(xùn)類及雅思生活技能類考試并無影響。

        由英國文化教育協(xié)會、IDP教育集團(tuán)和劍橋大學(xué)外語考試部共同擁有的雅思考試已有25年的歷史，一直在出國留學(xué)、工作及移民類英語考試中扮演著關(guān)鍵角色。雅思成績獲得了全球9000多所院校機(jī)構(gòu)、專業(yè)團(tuán)體、移民當(dāng)局和其他政府機(jī)關(guān)的認(rèn)可，并廣泛用于英國、澳大利亞、加拿大、新西蘭等移民國家的移民申請。 2015年，在全球逾140個國家和地區(qū)中，共有250多萬人次參加了雅思考試。

        From March 2016, some IELTS test takers for UK Visas and Immigration will be able to take their IELTS test on paper or on computer. A limited number of places will be available for IELTS for UKVI (Academic) delivered on computer at a number of locations in the UK, China and Hong Kong. This option will then be gradually introduced in other locations during 2016-17.

        First CB test in China will be held in 31st March in IELTS Beijing Test Centre – Computer delivery, and roll out in other cities in mainland China (CQ, GZ and SH in October)

        The IELTS for UKVI (Academic) delivered on computer will be held on selected dates throughout the year and registration will close one week before the test date, subject to availability of places.

        The introduction of this new option will not affect the availability of paper IELTS tests. 

        Test takers who choose the new option will take their Listening, Reading and Writing components using a computer. The Speaking test will remain face-to-face, as this has always been a key feature of the IELTS approach. We believe it is the most effective way of assessing speaking skills and prompts a more realistic performance from test takers.

        All other aspects of the test (including content, marking, scoring, security arrangements, etc.) are identical whether it is taken on paper or on computer and all test takers will receive the same Test Report Form.

        Please note that this development only affects test takers who need to take IELTS for UKVI (Academic) for UK visas and immigration purposes. It does not affect people taking IELTS for UKVI (General Training), people taking IELTS Life Skills or people taking IELTS for any other purpose.
